El Paso County, CO, Thursday September 1, 2022 – The El Paso County administrative and elected administrative offices and affiliated agencies will be closed Monday, September 5, in observance of Labor Day. Labor Day is a federally recognized holiday created in 1882 to celebrate American workers’ accomplishments and hard work.This holiday is a time to celebrate with picnics, family, and other gatherings. It is a day to honor our workforce.
The closure includes the following:
- El Paso County Public Health
- The offices of the 4th Judicial District Attorney
- Pikes Peak Workforce Center
- El Paso County Department of Human Services
- Pikes Peak Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
- El Paso County Combined Courts
The El Paso County Department of Human Services will be closed Monday, September 5. Citizens can apply for Food Assistance, manage case information or get more information on additional programs by visiting Colorado.gov/PEAK.
All Clerk and Recorder’s Offices will be closed on Labor Day and the north office located at Union Town Center will be closed on Saturday, September 3, 2022.
The Board of County Commissioners will convene for their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, September 6. Offices will return to their regular business hours on Tuesday, September 6.
